Introduction: Leadership is an essential in Islam. Likewise, crisis is in evitable in the lifespan of humanity. The everlasting book (Al-Qur’an) has stipulated that Muslims will not be left saying their through believer until they are tested with the crisis. Furthermore, Man who is created as vicegerent on the earth is tasked to manage the earth which the crisis is one of things to be managed. Based on this, the course is designed to cover the leadership and crises from Islamic perspective.

Objective: To equip participants with the concept of leadership from Islamic point of view. Likewise, to train them how to manage the crisis from Islamic point of view.

Contents: The course provides concept of leadership from Al-Qur’an, Hadith and other Islamic literatures. The course starts with the concept and characteristics of leadership in Islam. Then moves to the components of leadership from Islamic perspective. This course will introduce students to the true concept of leader according to the behaviour and teachings of Rasulullah SAW and that of his companions. Furthermore, the course provides the example of how Rasulullah SAW resolves different types of crisis that happened through his life. How crisis is resolved through ages in Islam and finally, it covers the lessons that the contemporary leader can derive and its applicability to the present-day crisis.

Outcome: Upon completion of the course participants are expected to fathom concept of leadership from Islamic perspective and the characteristics required to be an effective leader. Furthermore, by the end of the course, they are anticipated to comprehend that crisis is an inevitable and it must be under control.
