Established on September 23rd, 2019 / 23 Muharram 1441H during the National Teachers' Day celebration to accelerate and strengthen the country's human resources development through lifelong learning. The Centre aims to provide equal and equitable access to quality education through improvement of lifelong learning opportunities.
The Centre serves as a one-stop information centre and a gateway for lifelong learning programmes offered by L3C and various lifelong learning providers from both government and non-government sectors.
WHY LIFELONG LEARNING?
In the era of IR 4.0, learning has become essential to keeping up with the evolving industries and nature of work, where career trajectories are becoming more dynamic and less predictable. Lifelong Learning can benefit an individual’s personal fulfillment by developing life skills which builds an individual’s confidence. Therefore, through such programmes, can enhance the quality of life through social cohesion and active citizenship. Similarly, on an economic stance, as technology continues to be advanced, certain jobs may be obsolete. Therefore, reskilling and upskilling is crucial to increase employability and professional development by gaining skills that will be in demand in the future.
